Fall Out Boy Concert Tickets in Tempe

By: Phoenix Tickets Finder    Category: Marquee Theater Tickets, Concerts

This is what the wiki says:

Fall Out Boy is an American alternative rock/pop-punk/emo[1] band from Wilmette, Illinois (the suburbs of )Chicago, Illinois that formed in 2000. The band consists of Patrick Stump (lead vocals, guitar), Peter Wentz (bass, backup vocalist, and primary lyricist), Joe Trohman (lead guitar), and Andy Hurley (drums).

I don’t know too much about the band but I do sort of like their single “Dance, Dance” pretty well. If you are having trouble finding tickets to this show at the Marquee Theatre here is where you should look:

David Copperfield Tickets in Phoenix

By: Phoenix Tickets Finder    Category: Dodge Theatre, Theater

When I was a kid a had an embarrassing moment at a magic show. We kids were sitting in front of the stage and the magician did a trick where he dropped a guillotine on an audience member’s head, severing a carrot but leaving the head of the person untouched. It was a pretty cool trick actually. The thing was that the severed carrot fell in front of the stage where I was sitting. I picked it up and looked around wondering I should do with this carrot (I mean it could have been still needed for the show right?) The girl next to me told me to throw it back on stage. In retrospect I now know that she meant just toss it gently back up there… but at the time I hauled back and hucked it at the magician. It grazed his ear as it whizzed by. He wasn’t amused. He asked for the parents of the kid in the front to come get me. My dad wasn’t too pleased either.

Anyway, I don’t recommend you huck any carrots at David Copperfield if you go to this show. Tickets ain’t cheap and you’d probably get tossed from the Dogde Theater is you did…

Anyway, if you are looking for tickets to this show and the box office doesn’t cut it for you here is where you should look:

Cedric the Entertainer Tickets in Phoenix

By: Phoenix Tickets Finder    Category: Dodge Theatre, Theater

So it turns out Cedric the Entertainer does more than commercials and an occasional movie still. He is bringing his live act to Phoenix soon for a show at the Dogde Theater. Ced’s wiki says this about him:

Cedric the Entertainer (born Cedric Antonio Kyles, April 24, 1964 in Jefferson City, Missouri) is an American actor and comedian. The self-assumed title “The Entertainer” comes from his early days as a comedian when he also sang and danced… In 1996, Cedric moved into acting, playing Steve Harvey’s friend, Cedric Jackie Robinson, on his sitcom, The Steve Harvey Show. His acting career grew and he began appearing in movies, including Big Momma’s House, Dr. Dolittle 2, Barbershop, Barbershop 2, Serving Sara, Johnson Family Vacation, Intolerable Cruelty, Man of the House, Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, and Be Cool.

Tickets to The Who in Phoenix

By: Phoenix Tickets Finder    Category: US Airways Center Tickets, Concerts

I remember when the Who broke up the first time. And the second, and the third… (grin) Well as long as we fans keep buying tickets I’m sure The Who will keep getting back together for tours. Too bad the Beatles never did the same.

BTW- did anyone see Roger Daltry in that recent episode of CSI? He had the oddest acccent — some kind of British variation on a Vegas gangster. Pretty strange sounding really.

Anyway, with Pete and Roger still alive and kicking this concert ought to be pretty good. I’m not sure how much of a Rock and Roll scream Roger’s voice can handle these days (he’s in his sixties and all) but back in the day he had a killer rock scream going.

This concert is scheduled for Wed, Feb 28 2007 at 7:30 PM at the US Airways Center downtown. If you are having trouble getting the tickets you want at the box office here are the places you ought to try next:

1. AIW Tickets has seats starting at $170

Josh Groban Tickets in Phoenix

By: Phoenix Tickets Finder    Category: US Airways Center Tickets, Concerts

Alright, I had to look up Josh Groban’s wiki to figure out who he is. I am always surprised when someone not even on my radar is popular enough to throw a concert at the US Airways Center (Sun, Mar 25 2007 at 7:30 PM). It turns out he is a bit of an easy listening artist… Ahhhh, that explains it. I’m not much of an easy listening fan myself. (I think they are calling it Adult Contemporary these days.) The beauty of being a popular easy listening artist is that your primary market is relatively rich. At least these grown-ups have a lot more money to spend on a concert than the average 15 year old will have. Not a bad gig for young Mr. Groban.

So if you are hunting for good seats to this upcoming concert and aren’t finding them at the box office, here is where you should check online:

1. AIW Tickets has seats starting at $95

Legends Tickets in Phoenix (Orpheum Theatre)

By: Phoenix Tickets Finder    Category: Concerts, Theater, Orpheum Theatre Tickets

So a show called Legends (or is it “Legends!”?) is set for a multi-night showing at the Orpheum Theater in Phoenix. As far as I can tell this is a big celebrity impersonator fest with Elvis, Prince, Madonna and other impersonators putting on shows. The ticket brokers have been snapping up tickets so it must be a fun show that will sell out pretty quickly. If you are having trouble getting the tickets you want at the Orpheum box office here are the places you ought to try next:

Rockstar Supernova Tickets in Phoenix

By: Phoenix Tickets Finder    Category: Cricket Pavilion Tickets, Concerts

So I admit I watched the show this year (ok, I watched most of it last year too…). I wasn’t too thrilled with any of the contestants or the band but maybe it’s just that the musical style wasn’t my thang. Anyway, the short balding guy with the eye makeup and the goofy hair ended up winning (Lucas? Lukas? something like that). I wouldn’t have chosen him — I hate all the exaggerated scooping he does with his vocals — but apparently he got the most votes by fans so the band went with him. (Did you get the feeling that they didn’t care who was the lead singer because this was all a publicity stunt for them anyway? I did.) I’ve heard the single on the radio (the cliche song or something like that) so they seem to be doing alright. And the ticket brokers around here seem to think this show will sell out because they scooped up a lot of the best tickets already.

If you haven’t found the tickets you are looking for to this show yet (Feb 24 at Cricket Pavilion) here is where you should hunt:

1. AIW Tickets has tickets to three shows starting at $85

2. Check pricing at a couple of these ticket vendors:

Gwen Stefani Tickets In Phoenix

By: Phoenix Tickets Finder    Category: Cricket Pavilion Tickets, Concerts

So did I even mention I met Gwen Stefani once? Yeah, it was after a show No Doubt did in the early 90’s before they hit the big time. My buddy’s band opened for No Doubt and we hung out a little after the show.

Ok, you don’t really care about that do you? Nope, you’re just looking for tickets to her upcoming show at Cricket Pavilion. Well as always, your cheapest route is the box office. But since this one will sell out you may need to look to the ticket brokers to get in. If so here is where you should look.

First check our favorite aftermarket vendor, AIW Tickets. They currently have seats starting at $67.

2006 Insight Bowl Tickets (Texas Tech vs. Minnesota)

By: Phoenix Tickets Finder    Category: Sports

The annual Insight Bowl is coming up soon at Sun Devil Stadium (December 29 at 5:30PM). This year the high powered aerial offense of the Texas Tech Red Raiders will be on display while the Minnesota Golden Gophers try to redeem a pretty mediocre season with a with for the Big 10. If you don’t have tickets to this one yet and can’t find what you need from the box office here is where we recommend you look for aftermarket tickets:

1. First, go check AIW Tickets. They have tickets starting at $49 for this one.

Bulls vs. Suns Tickets

By: Phoenix Tickets Finder    Category: US Airways Center Tickets, Sports

With the signing of Ben Wallace the Bulls were supposed to be a powerhouse in the East this year. What happened? I dunno. Don’t really care actually — as long as the Suns beat them. Of course that is not a given so if you want a chance to see this game in person we’ll try to help you out. (I’m guessing there are 100,000+ Midwest transplants here in the Valley who still root for teams like the Bulls — I find them at every turn it seems)

Moody Blues Tickets in Phoenix

By: Phoenix Tickets Finder    Category: Dodge Theatre, Concerts

I saw the Moody Blues once several years ago. My buddy was in the San Diego Symphony and they were backing the MB’s at an outdoor concert in Palm Springs so he got me in for free. It was great fun and the band sounded great (even if the flute player seemed a bit… wobbly that night.) Anyway, bought the greatest hits CD after that and played it so much in our family that I’m not sure I ever want hear the band again. But I recommend you see them of course…

Suns vs. Hawks Tickets

By: Phoenix Tickets Finder    Category: US Airways Center Tickets, Sports

Dang I wish Joe Johnson had stayed here in Phoenix. But I guess he decided he was sick of being a role player on the Phoenix Suns and opted to be The Man with the Atlanta Hawks. He certainly is that — he is the clear star of that team. But they still pretty much suck so I expect the Suns will steamroll them when they come into the Valley this season. Manhattan Transfer Concert Tickets in Phoenix

By: Phoenix Tickets Finder    Category: Celebrity Theatre (Theater) Tickets, Concerts

Manhattan Transfer is coming into Phoenix for a show at the Celebrity Theater in January. Their wiki says this about them:

The Manhattan Transfer is an American vocal group established in New York City in 1972. It is famous for its mixing of jazz, big band, and popular music styles.

The group was founded by singers Alan Paul, Janis Siegel, Laurel Massé and Tim Hauser. In its early years, the group developed a cult following while playing such New York clubs as Trude Heller’s, Reno Sweeney, and Max’s Kansas City. In 1975 it released its first album, The Manhattan Transfer. An album named Jukin’ was made earlier, in 1971, but it was not the same group back then, and therefore The Manhattan Transfer should be considered The Manhattan Transfer’s debut album.

Suns vs. Jazz Tickets

By: Phoenix Tickets Finder    Category: US Airways Center Tickets, Sports

What has gotten in to the Utah Jazz lately? Their wiki says:

The Jazz have had a surprisingly pleasant start to the 2006-2007 season, despite an early injury to Andre Kirilenko. They won their first four games of the season, then, after a single loss, went on to an eight game winning streak, giving them their best start in franchise history at 12-1. They currently have the best record in the NBA at 13-3 (.813). Mr. Kirilenko has missed five games so far but did play in the Jazz’ last four confrontations; the Jazz have gone 8-3 with and 5-0 without him.

I had sort of gotten used to them sucking and now they’ve gone and ruined that by playing some really good hoops. Good enough to beat your Phoenix Suns? Ha! Not likely. But you never know. In any case this one might have some playoff implications this year so it has become a much more intriguing matchup than earlier in the 00’s.

Suns vs. Spurs Tickets

By: Phoenix Tickets Finder    Category: US Airways Center Tickets, Sports

Now this one should be a humdinger of a game. The Phoenix Suns and San Antonio Spurs are perennial powerhouses in the NBA this decade and this season looks to be no exception. We each team led by former MVP’s you can bet that this one will be hotly contested and played at a high level. My prediction? Suns by 35. (But I think that will happen in every game so ignore me.) If you want to get tickets to this clash of the NBA titans here is what I recommend:

Suns vs. Timberwolves Tickets

By: Phoenix Tickets Finder    Category: US Airways Center Tickets, Sports

Kevin Garnett and friends are coming into to town to take on Amare and friends. Of course I think the T-Wolves have no chance but I’m an unabashed Phoenix Suns homer. But I have a couple of neighbors from Minnesota so if my street is an accurate sample (yeah — I know it’s not) then there are probably a lot of Wolves fans here in the valley already. And if not, considering the winter weather in Minnesota and the winter weather in Phoenix I imagine that it would be worth it to fly into to town to warm up and check out this game.

By: Phoenix Tickets Finder    Category: US Airways Center Tickets, Sports

Remember back when the Trailblazers were perennial powerhouses in the west? Well those days are gone. So while there coming into town won’t be a cash of the titans or anything, it may provide a patsy for the Suns to stomp. And if the stars align for the Blazers they could even win so it is always worth checking out.
